Antonio de la Riva

Manuel Antonio de la Riva established his bodega in Jerez de la Frontera in 1858, building a reputation for fine Sherry, historic soleras and vineyards in the renowned Macharnudo pago. The house was acquired by Domecq during the 1970s, and its identity gradually disappeared as an independent producer.

Winemakers Willy Pérez and Ramiro Ibáñez revived the De la Riva name in 2017 with the goal of restoring traditional, vineyard-centered winemaking in the Sherry region. Their limited-production wines explore distinguished sites including Macharnudo, Balbaína and Miraflores through unfortified Palomino wines, Manzanilla and mature oxidative styles, reconnecting the historic bodega with the individual character of Jerez’s albariza soils.
