With family ancestry that can be traced back to Chambolle since before the French Revolution, the Hudelot family are ancient Burgundian locals who founded their domaine in 1964. More recently, Charles Van Canneyt succeeded his founding grandfather, Alain Hudelot, and helped raise the domaine to the top level of high-end producers from Burgundy. The house sources their fruit from the most reputable vineyards in the Cote d’Or including Richebourg, Romanée Saint Vivant, and Clos de Vougeot. They pride themselves in old vines, the average being about 50 years, which contribute to the complexity and body of the famed wines.
